Description

Live On Location: Site Specific Writing
with Jenni Lamb

Get out of the house and into a space that ignites your imagination!  This in person class lets you explore how a physical location provides inspiration and fresh tools to create narrative elements that bring specificity into your writing. Jenni Lamb, innovative theatre maker, teacher and founder of Second Site collective, leads this six-week, in-person class at District (furniture store) in the Andersonville neighborhood of Chicago. In class instruction and feedback focuses on creating engaging and nuanced characters, dialogue, and story while you explore techniques for creating site-specific theater and gain an overview of self-production. Participants will draft and revise a short site-specific play to be presented on the last day of class.
